From start to finish this was an incredible experience. Walked right on with very small line for a ship that was loaded with over 6000 passengers. The state room was ready at 1PM as promised and bags soon followed. Great room with balcony. Only issue was the closet was a little close to the bed but otherwise..no complaints. The Dining Room staff were terrific. We had Tony as our waiter and Mauricio as his assistant. These guys were so helpful and attentive that the New Yorker in me suspected that they were going to try and sell us something. Nope, just great service from people who seemed to love what they are doing. Food was great.
We ate one night in an up-charge restaurant, 150 Central Park. Food was good but atmosphere was a little stuffy. Also, our waiter was Turkish and he was a little hard to understand. He did a good job but I think that someone with a better understanding of English would have been more appreciated.
The entertainment was all top notch and the live bands were very good. Don't miss the Karaoke at On Air or all the flash mobs and Zomba in the central part of the ship. The comedy club warns about adult material and they delivered. It was the toughest ticket on the ship and it was hilarious.
The ports were OK. Typical Caribbean Ports where everything is for sale. We have cruised enough that we saw no surprises. The ship has so much happening at all times that we could have just stayed on the ship for the full seven days. The problem I see is for Allure to continue to live up to what we just experienced. This was the best all around cruise we have ever been on.
