Fascinated Mikey, Once Again!
The next change I noticed was the "Superstar Live" karaoke. They have a live band playing and it was a Lot of Fun! I did it every night it was available. The band was the same one that plays for the main shows and was very Good! The shows were great especially the "Far From Over" 80's show. Another change is the Punchliners Comedy Club. I went to the family shows as I'm not into "Crude" The cowboy comedian was very funny but the other one looked like he was struggling to be clean. They still had the talent show but it is now called "Showcase of the Stars". It was a lot of fun and I got me a ship on a stick and a bottle of Bubbly! I liked the changes in the entertainment.
Half Moon Cay was just as Beautiful as everyone had said! The weather was great. We did the Stingray Adventure, and where it is no where near the level of Stingray City in Grand Cayman my DW enjoyed it as this was the first time she had ever done anything like this! It's worth the money. The island barbecue was really good and the only draw-back to the whole island that I could tell was the swimming areas were crowded. As we were leaving there was a thunderstorm, but then there was a rainbow over the island, Cool!
Nassau, it was raining cats and dogs! The good thing about it was that none of the locals were wanting to braid my hair or sell me a "Free" bracelet. I booked a "Snorkel with the Sharks" tour thru Stuart Cove's. This was a Blast! DW thought I was crazy, like that's never happened before. We snorkeled three sites. The first was an old movie set from one of the Jaws movies, where I had a nice sized barracuda, come visiting. The second was just out from where many of the Flipper shows were filmed and the last one was where they lowered a chum box and attracted about 20 sharks while we swam above them! Very professional, very Fun! Since it had quit raining, all of the locals were doubling their efforts at my money, so I went back on board and took a nap!
The last sea day was a little rough while returning to Jacksonville, but not to bad. The 4-day that left when we got back, really "Caught-It". I feel for those people, but "Weather Don't Care".
I Love This Ship! There was always something to do, (I won a few more solid-gold-ship-on-a-sticks). The crew is the best and over-all it was an Excellent Trip! Less
Cabin review: PTU 16 Porthole
Our cabin was U-16, a PT (PortHole) cabin. This was our second time in this very cabin. I love the PT cabins as you get ocean view for the price of an Interior. The good things about these cabins are that there is not much hallway noise as there is not much traffic there. You have a large shelf area to "Corrale" your towel animals, and you are near the shows, shopping, and main dining rooms. The bad things are; Your Wife is close to the shopping! You are a long way from the Lido Deck, and when they drop the anchor or use the bow thrusters it is LOUD! Also on this trip this cabin smelled of cigarette smoke, where as it didn't back in Jan.Read All Porthole (PT) Reviews >>
