Room 8108 is great value for 2 people ; it is like an apartment but if cruise has 'many' early port arrivals then the docking noise would be a nuisance; ours had 1 early call to port - no problem. For more than 4 people the storage/ bathroom could be a squeeze but overall its great. Great steward "Leonardo from Goa".
The cruise before had Noroviurus on a large scale - we were told more than 300 people and a deep clean was put in place delaying check in by 3 hours; problem was significantly reduced but I got a cold/sore throat/ rough chest after 5 days which stayed for most of the cruise and these symptons were endemic for a great many passengers; my opinion is that it was connected in some way to the air conditioning system. I have had 19 previous cruise weeks on Celeb and 5 on RCCL without any health issues whatsoever and so was surprised on this occasion on a ship only 1 year old.
Food was brilliant as was the service in all public/food areas. Entertainment was mixed - Celeb shows / musicians excellent but the cabaret entertainers brought in were poor except for the Lloyd Webber style lady singer who was excellent. Cruise Director/ Entertainment Manager were below usual Celeb/RCCL standard. Captains Club staff / events were excellent.
