This is our first cruise. Given that, we decided to book an interior room. We figure we'd be roaming the boat most of the time. We live in the east of of NYC (Manhattan), so for us, it was basically a cross town bus ride.

Embarkation was a LONG WAIT. We arrived around 12:50. The port was a chaos. We didn't realize the luggage need to be given to "any one" with a red shirt. Honestly, I am surprised luggage isn't lost as often. After going through the XRay (15 minutes), boarding took close to 50 minutes. They had to take pictures and checking the document. There were many agents at the counter, but it was still slow.

Finally boarded the ship around 1:50. The interior room was nice and clean. Small. Given that this ship was recently refurbished, I was surprised to see a lousy tube TV. Other than that, we are fine with the limited amenities. We usually bring our own as we prefer using our own brand. Our room attendant's name is Ricardo. He's a very friendly fellow. Throughout the cruise, he would constantly make our bed, remove trays, trash and kept the room neat. He always had a smile. FYI, we were on deck 11(579). The room was below the kid's play from (deck 12), but we never really felt the noise. Two items I wish the cruise provide are: night light and a clock. It gets extremely dark in the room once the light is turned off.
