My husband and I just returned from our first cruise with Crystal and were so pleased with the experience that we are already planning our next cruise with them.
We were on the Canada/ New England cruise on Symphony from 9/24-10/5/11. The entire experience was so positive, from embarkation to disembarkation, that it is hard to find anything negative to comment on.
Positives: incredible food and service, amazing enrichment opportunities and onboard entertainment, more than adequate stateroom size and amenities, beautiful and spacious public areas, interesting shore excursions, welcoming attitude toward bringing wine and spirits onboard for consumption in own stateroom
Negatives: stateroom 9095 had a lifeboat right off the veranda which reduced our inclination to spend much time on the veranda. We consider this a problem with our travel agent rather than Crystal since we feel our agent should have pointed this out to us. We also later found out we could have gotten the same room on a lower floor for less money and not as much of an obstruction. Again, something our travel agent should have pointed out.
It was a real pleasure spending this time on the Crystal Symphony!
