Ship Facts: Monarch of the Seas Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Monarch of the Seas Deck Plans
Great 4 day getaway!!!!
My cousin and I had a wonderful time on this cruise. It was her 1st time cruising and my 2nd. We were in cabin 2595. It sleeps 4 but I would not recommend it. Quiet and close to elevators. Our biggest gripe was the odor coming from the bathroom, like sewage. Our cabin steward "Angus" was great. He tried to stay on top of it, bless his heart. Heard from other passengers that smell was also on other decks. Guess that shows the age of the ship.

Food was good. I liked the choices that were available. If one thing wasn't to my liking, I tried something else. No major complaints there.

We didn't go to the ships island because it was a cloudy day. Started raining by mid afternoon. When docked in Nassau my cousin and I went to Atlantis for couple of hours, did some shopping in town. Went to Fish Fry for dinner and the weather was wonderful. Love the Bahamas.

Shows were awesome. Ship activities were fun. Casino was not that big, but I started winning on the last night on board. The crew was AWESOME, everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Also, heard from some of crew that Monarch was going to be retired in 2012 or early 2013 and another ship would be taking over that route.

All In all it was a wonderful getaway and I would do it again. Will try another ship and another cruise line since I am new to cruising.
