We arrived at the cruise terminal around 12:00. We parked at the New York Port Authority Parking lot which cost $210 for the week which was divided among two couples. It took very little time to get on board and to our surprise our stateroom was ready. This is the 4th time that we have cruised out of New York and it is always an exciting time looking at the New York sky line as we cruised down the Hudson River.

The first night we ate in the Grand Pacific. The food was good but the service was not. However as the week progressed the service got a lot better. Only once during our cruise did we eat in one of the specialty restaurants, the La Cucina. The service was great and the food was very good.

For most of our trip breakfasts and lunches were eaten at the Garden Cafe. The food was good. Only near the end of our trip did we eat at the Blue Lagoon. It has a very limited menu. However, this was a lot more laid back. You did not have to fight the buffet crowd. It you want to get away from the crowd this is a good alternative. Overall, the food was good on most days and great on some days.

We were very happy with Stateroom 10606. More than enough room for our needs. It was in a great location with easy access to the elevators. The only complaint that we had is that you could hear toilets from other staterooms. We had never experience that situation before.
