This ship is incredible! At first it seems very overwhelming and I truly didn't really know which way to go to get where I needed to be without looking at the signs next to the elevators. I would say that is par for the course for me though! It's easiest if you just remember the neighborhoods on the ship. So for example, we didn't do any of the specialty restaurants which a lot of Central Park includes (except Park Cafe--awesome salads), so we didn't spend much time there. We mainly spent time at the Boardwalk and Royal Promenade. Oh, the rooms on this ship seem to have so much more storage that on the other ships we have been on. We had plenty of room to put all of our things up. I liked that a lot. Also liked the ipod docking station too.

Have to leave a note about the service. I'm not sure if this ship is so big and maybe the staff is exhausted or what, but there was a definite difference between our service on this ship vs the Freedom. They were so forgetful (dinner/room) and it was so unlike the other RCI staff we have encountered in the past. I heard many people note the same thing. One day our room didn't get cleaned until dinner time because our room steward was "in a meeting". I'm wondering why schedule meetings when the employees are supposed to be cleaning? It didn't make sense to me. We heard too many times "that's not my job", which really took us by surprise. It wasn't bad service, just not what we expected from cruising with RCI before.

One more thing--getting on/off the boat was the easiest, fastest that I have ever experienced. They really got it right at Port Everglades.

Cabin L

Cabin 6193. This is such a convenient location. It is very near the spa, and if you walk in the opposite direction you can get to the Boardwalk (same floor), also the Schooner bar and Focus (photos). I really liked the location of this room. The rooms have a lot of storage. We had a room that had the 2 pull down bunks over the bed. I didn't hit my head once, but stubbed my toes on the ladder every day. There is a loveseat in the room also. The closet is roomy, has 2 rods (1 upper, 1 lower) and LOTS of hangers. The safe is in the closet, as well as I think 3 cubbies for you to put other things. The vanity has 2 drawers that you can use (really 3, but there is a hairdryer in one), and then on the left of the mirror there is storage upper and lower of the desk. The fridge is on the right lower. TV swivels and is a nice size flat screen. Bathroom has a lot of storage as well, and 2 hooks on the wall to the left of the sink, 3 hooks on the back of the door, and 2 hooks in the shower. There is a shelving unit on the right of the vanity that has 2 cubbies and a little drawer. There is also storage under the vanity.

The lights---never figured them out. Even the comedy show comedian was making fun of them! There is a master switch on top, then 2 switches below that, then another big switch below that. I couldn't ever figure it out. There is also a mysterious light over the painting above the couch and I couldn't figure out how to turn that off, but somehow I'd wake up in the morning and it would be off!
