We just returned from a quick, fairly last-minute get-away for 4 nights on Celebrity Millenium out of Miami. We make not bones about favoring Princess and this was our first Celebrity experience. Overall it was a positive one.

Embarkation was an absolute breeze. All told it took 10-15 minutes to get through the check-in and security and before we knew it were onboard having lunch by about 11:30. Staterooms were off-limits until about 1:00 and most luggage arrived at the staterooms by 3:00 with the exception of one bag that took until closer to 5:00.

One of our few negative comments about the Millenium is the rather chaotic way the lunch buffet is laid out. Unless you do your checking before getting in line at one end or the other you'll find yourself chosing side-dishes before you see what the main courses are, or you'll find yourself at the end of the salad line (which is in the middle of the line) fighting the crowd from the other direction. It was a bit of a logistical nightmare. The other thing thas really slows down the lines is that they have servers dishing out the meals rather than letting people take for themselves. On day 2 two members of our 4 member party were handed RED HOT dishes (they were wearing gloves, we were NOT!) and both dropped their dishes immediately. They really should be more careful about this.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2A

Stateroom 7092 was average size. The desk was very small. On the other hand the shower was a bit larger than most and rectangular as opposed to many that tend to be curved/triangular. The little extra space in there was appreciated. The balcony was average size. Our only complaint was the stateroom door that weighed a ton and was hard to hold open.
