Carnival's good -- but could be better

Sail Date: September 2011
Destination: Eastern Caribbean
Embarkation: Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We have experienced may cruises on both Carnival and Royal Caribbean.

Don't get me wrong ... Our experience on the Carnival Dream was great. It's just that if Carnival paid attention their customers would have a better experience.

Here's three suggestions:
1) Eliminate the "everybody waits" buffet line. I might just want an entree or hot vegetable, but I have to get in line behind the salad folks, the fruit folks, etc.

2) Put in the self-serve soda machines. Who wants to wait in a three-deep bar line for a diet Coke?

3) The exercise gym on the Carnival Dream was designed by someone who secretly hates those who exercise. Despite the large number of Carnival Dream cruisers, the gym is teeny-tiny. And, in a brilliant engineering move, if you are using an exercise machine you can't see out the window ... you have to duck down to see the water.

Oh, well. Yes, we had a great time on Carnival Dream. I just wish they would pay attention More to details. Less
