Sail Date: Sep 2011
Cabin: Concierge Class 1

The cabin was as described, with great linens, a balcony with an exceptIonal view over looking the wake of the ship when at sea and a sunset half the evenings. However, making it special was our steward,Silvester Perrirea and his assistant who not only quickly filled our requests but did so, again and again without our having to ask. He will be on the Eclipse next season and is worth seeking out.

We had Select Seating dining and, again it worked out great. Thelma, the hostess on MDR level 4 seated us in the same section, with little delay. We sought out the head waiter Sirene Margarita (sp?) and his assistant Jay as they not only advised and served but entertained the 4 of us nightly. I am afraid I have forgotten our sommelier's name because he never forgot ours and paired wines with our entree choices. The ship is beautiful, the food, from the burgers in the Mast Grill to the perfect veal chop in the MDR, was excellent. If anything was not to our liking it was quickly replaced.

No problems leaving the ship for the private tours we booked (see Trip Advisor) and a special thank you to Flavio who made sure we got off in Rome to make our 9:20am flight. I hope X is able to replace Cyprus with the originally planned Egypt in 2012. Turkey and Israel were amazing.
