Overall this was a nice cruise.I was a bit worried after reading all the reviews which seem to be 50/50 as far as good or bad.So here is how I'll sum it up:
THE GOOD:For first time cruisers and those "young at heart"(not honeymooners)who would like a peak at the four main islands.
Overall 98% of the crew were friendly, accommodating and provided excellent service. The balcony stateroom was great & roomier than expected. We were on the Starboard side which had great views most of the time. Our steward Abigail was terrific and attentive.Skyline & Liberty were good but Little Italy was our favorite which is the only specialty restaurant we ate at.Berry granola yogurt and crepes in Aloha Cafe.Pack sandwiches and fruit from buffet for your days at port if you are exploring on your own.Embarkation and disembarkation were pretty easy.We got on about 2:30 and took our own bags off when leaving so that was very quick.Didn't have to wait on color coded tags for bags.Overnight in Maui and Kauai were great."Old Lahaina Luau" in Maui was very good and "Wings Over Kauai" plane tour is not to be missed and so much better than helicopter(IMO). The Second City Comedy Group,Jim the magician and Lights,Camera,Music were very good shows.Best place to sit for buffet(Aloha Cafe) was actually in the Goldrush Saloon. Most affordable drinking was Bucket of Beer!Bartenders in OceanSide Bar by Oasis Pool were the best.Ride by Napali Coast when leaving Kauai was beautiful but go to Portside had the better view.Best snorkel spots are west side of MAUI and HANAUMA BAY in OAHU.
We loved cabin 8090 except when docked in Kauai because the starboard side didn't have a view but all the other times are view was awesome.I would also go to port side when leaving Kauai up on the top decks.Plenty or room in closet and store bags under bed(even if you over pack).Bathroom was small but not as bad as it could have been.Balcony staterooms are the way to go unless you can afford suites & villas.
