POA - Hawaii
We arrived at the port at 9 am and were gretted by NCL personnel who advised us where to go and drop off our luggage. We were one of the first to board the ship and saw some nice entertaunment prior to our boarding.... The entertainers provided us with craved head garments to wear on the ship.
We boarded around 11 aM AND oured the ship for a good 45 minutes. POA is in good condition but needs some facllifting soon.... A good drydock would help her design. We went up to the buffet and had a very nice lunch. When I took my head garment off and placed it on a chair lots of ants came out.... What a terrible feeling.....
When we got to our cabin washed my head and hoped for the best..... The cabin which we paid over 3500 for A 7 DAY CRUISE WAS THE SMALLEST i HAVE EVER SEEN. iT WAS NO BIGGER THEN MY FIRST CRUISE ON THE Nordic empress rccl. THE BALCONY WAS SMALL AND no extra amenities. It took our cabin stweard a day to get the small re-frig cleared out so we could put our More soda and water in.
NCL dining is freestyle and I must say their are various specialty restaurants. We went one night and had a great time...... But you would think regular dining would be good... It is at best mediocre in all aspects..... If your looking for culinary food forget it.... you have to more to get a real good meal. Now the price is high enough for what you get.......If you want to see the islands and use NCL as a platform its fine. Otherwise it is a poor experience.
If I were the CEO, I would improve this ship since i AND OTHERS WILL NOT GO ncl AGAIN.... they HAVE A MONOPOLOY IN HAWAII AND THIS SHOULD BE BROKEN.
Overall its a C plus and i WILL NOT TRAVEL THEM AGAIN................... Less
