NY to Quebec and return (two tours)
Destination: Canada & New England
Embarkation: New York (Manhattan)
Since we sailed round trip from NY we never had to debark in Quebec. We were driven to the Cruise Terminal in Brooklyn and from the time we arrived at the curb until we opened our cabin door was 30 minutes. Same on departure we selected the latest departure time 10:20 and were at the curb by 10:50.
The food was generally poor, especially tough beef and pork and undercooked potatoes and carrots.
Service was by and large outstanding, from the cabin steward to the wait staff in all the dining areas on the 15th deck and the International Cafe on the 5th deck. Personal, friendly, helpful and has probably the fastest knife in the dining room, when she separates the shells from the lobster and prawns.
Tours varied, Among the best were Bar More Harbour tour of Acadia National Park and lobster dinner, which was great. Also the tour of St Johns, NB with a tour guide "blue Bonnie". Among the worst was the tour meant to immerse us in Anne of Green Gables on PEI. Spent more time seeing the mussel farms then we did visiting the authors birthplace and homestead. Less
