Husband and I decided a quick weekend getaway would be nice and booked the 3 night Majesty of the Seas to the Bahamas. Time from touchdown at Miami airport to sitting in the Windjammer was around an hour. Check in was fast and we had a pleasant surprise of being upgraded to the royal family balcony suite. Although called a family suite, it might have been tight with 4 people. The bathroom was smaller than a regular JS, but had a large walk in shower. This worked out great for the 6'4" husband - he finally had plenty of head room. The table and chairs was nice for room service deliveries, and also to fill out the paperwork for debarkation. I had read several comments about the food going downhill. I think it was wonderful and as always - plentiful. Service in MD was fabulous and had great wait staff. We also saw Head Waiter and just not on the last night.
Coco Cay was beautiful and the first time I was happy not to see any jellyfish! The last several times we had been there end September/beginning October, we didn't go in the water. The beach mat is worth the $10. Just to float in the ocean and look at the sky is priceless.
Atlantis in Nassau is not fun anymore. Before, one could pretty much walk around and not be bothered. Now, it seems that security is on every door and not letting anyone out without a bought pass. I guess with the economy, everyone is trying to make extra money.
Still a great trip - will do it again.
