First Cruise

Sail Date: September 2011
Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean
Embarkation: Barcelona

on arrival at the port the first sighting of the ship was amazing and a little intimidating, check in was very fast and efficient and rooms were ready on arrival at midday. Had read mixed reviews about the staterooms and would not want to have to share with a third person, that being said they are clean comfortable and perfectly adequate but being able to step out on to a balcony made a big difference. The ship itself although huge its very easy to find your way around and everything is very clearly signposted. The staff are all very helpful and service was excellent. Food and choice of was excellent as were the restaurants. Would recommend booking entertainment and speciality restaurants before you go. despite a large number of people on board the only place that it felt a little crowded was the buffet. All in ship is beautiful and a wonderful experience Less

Port and Shore Excursions

Brilliant city would happily spend more time there, city bus tour highly recommended

Docked in Livorno and visited Florence and Pisa, both recommended

Did not see a lot of Naples as we took the opportunity to see Pompeii which again is a must see
Read 652 Naples Reviews

We had a private car take us around some of the highlights of the Island Soller, Valdermosa, Deia, was really good

Another city where one day is not enough, Vatican City was well worth a visit and the Pope has an audience in St Peter's square every Wednesday morning
