We arrived at the Ocean Terminal and there was Azura in all her glory.
Embarkation was quick and easy and within 40 minutes we were on Azura.
Cabin: Our cabin was on C deck (C108), which was roomy and comfortable and the balcony was larger in comparison to most.
Restaurants: We mainly ate our meals in Penisular (Breakfast, lunch and dinner) as we couldn't be bothered with buffet style, the food on every occasion was excellent. When we did use venezia and verona, there was a wide choice of food and we found it very easy to find a seat. We ate at both Sindhu and the Glass House and again the food was excellent.
Bars: There were ample of bars on board, we mainly moved about from bar to bar ending up in the casino or broadies. All we comfortable. We did like to go to the planet bar for pre dinner drinks, the view was amazing.
Entertainment: The entertainment team were good and we loved going to the Sailaway parties. We didn't see any of the shows as this is not our thing.
Staff: All the staff onboard were friendly and helpful. Our cabin steward Chessy was excellent and so were our dinner waiters.
We read some reviews that there were no sunbeds, we found there was plenty of sunbeds if you avoided the two main pools. We found the terrace pool at the aft the best it was quiet with plenty of room.
The ports of call we did were: Vigo: Lovely place to visit easy to get around (highly recommend the Segway tour). Lisbon: Again a lovely city with plenty to do. Cadiz: What a wonderful place to visit with lots of side streets and places of interest. Casablanca: Now we liked Casablanca, others on the cruise hated it, it is a north african country so we knew what to expect. Gibraltar: we really really liked Gib, it was a shame there was not enough time to see it all.
NOW my complaint. What is it when some people reach pension age they loose all manners, I have never met such rude people in my life, they just barge past you, tut at you and in general are very rude, the same applied to some people in wheelchairs they had no consideration for other passengers whatsoever, its people like this that spoil the cruise.
All in all we had a wonderful time on Azura and we definitely sail on her again. And sorry if my review went on a bit.
Well done Azura
