Ship Facts: Eurodam Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Eurodam Deck Plans
Eurodam Delivers
The Eurodam is one of HAL's newer ships, and the ship was very well maintained.

Pluses on this cruise were the Itinerary (NYC, Newport Rhode Island, Gloucester Massachusetts, Bar Harbor Maine, Halifax and sydney Nova Scotia, Saguenay and Quebec city, Quebec, the gym (one of the best we have seen on a ship),the service in the dining rooms and staterooms, and the choice of meal entrees. Also, the dedicated lounge for suite guests was great.

Minuses were food that was sometimes bland, a too early early dining seating (surprised to find it was 5:30 when we got on the ship), mediocre entertainment on the ship, and several mediocre land tours. It also seemed to take way too long each day to get the passengers off he ship for the tours.

All-in-all, it was a good experience compared to our previous HAL cruise. The weather was very good, which also makes a cruise more enjoyable. We would probably consider \cruising on the Eurodam again.

One thing for people on this itinerary to note -- many of the ports had walking/biking trails along the waterfront, which could be good alternatives for younger guests. The average age on our cruise seemed to be about 70 and a tour advertised as "moderate" or "strenuous" for a 70+ person is likely to be way too slow and easy for those under 50 or even 60. If I did this again, I would rent a bike and head out on my own in serval of the ports.
