never really believed how big this ship was!!!! was expecting the grand staircase like other ncl ships but there isnt one, must agree with a lot of the other critics, it is way to big and they really don't cope with 4000 passengers, cabin was big enough 8045 but agree that the sink is useless, but otherwise our cabin steward Joseph kept it spotless and made some very good towel animals for us esp. the swinging monkey which was great fun arriving back to your cabin after a few drinks!! we were glad that it had the H20 spice pool area for adults as the main pool area was sooo busy and i was surprised to see so many rugrats sorry i mean darling children, we selected september thinking they were all back to start a new term, our kids were! but as i said lots of kids on board and very noisy around that pool, so we stayed in the H20 area, which suited us, unless we wanted to go on the slides, which were great fun, but again very busy and a lot of hanging around for the rubber ring you need on one slide,Food aboard was very busy in the garden restaurant, and we found to be very bland and the same day in day out, breakfast was just a scramble to find a table but we never had any problems with the staff or eggs as a few people have commented on. the evening we stayed in the Manhattan and the service from Gothum and Nelson was fantastic,we never had a bad meal but again it repeated itself, went to two of the special rests. Cagney's nice tables and staff but ive had better steak from my local supermarket, the Brazilian one can't remember the name was to much food and we had to stop, but we enjoyed it. The entertainment on board was poor, we enjoyed the Blue Man group, but had to walk out of the Legends they hurt my ears!!!!! but at least we had a laugh,

the best entertainment was the couple twice as nice, she was really lovely and a great singer, should have been on the stage not stuck in the walkway!!

the extra surcharges $12 pppd from the age of 3 was a rip off and then you have 15% on every drink and then 18% in the spa, we had a few treatments and they were very good a special hello to Charlotte from Essex who works in the spa she was a scream!

Cabin Review

great balcony but if you have noisy neighbours next cabin then its hard to enjoy the peace of being on it,
