Not everyone has the same experience on a cruise and, from some reviews, you have to wonder if you were on the same ship. Ths was our second cruise on NCL, the first being on the Jewel in 2009. We loved that cruise and that is why we booked the Jade. The Jade is a beautiful ship, clean, bright and easy to manuver. We enjoyed the food in each area. We dined at Cagney's twice and Le Bistro and found the food excellent. Worth the extra charge but this is not to say we didn't enjoy the food in the main dining room. We used the main dining room for breakfast because we liked the peace and serenity of no crowds. We put our names in to dine with the officers and had our names drawn twice. It was a rewarding experience. The casino staff and the hostess, Maria, were especially great and a pleasure to meet. The nightly entertainment was good. The music throughout the ship was excellent. The itinerary was outstanding, and we used ship excursions except for Athens. We booked a private tour there at a Cruise Critic's suggestion. At the customer service desk there is a box, Dear Armando, and you can comment on anything good or bad and you will get a response. There are comment cards aplenty for the asking to reward special treatment from the staff. The service throughout the ship was flawless. We are sailing again on the NCL Sun in October and plan to be with NCL on all future cruises.
