We have been on approximately 45 cruises on several different lines so I have many to compare this with.
We thought the Summit cruise to New England/Canada was great especially getting away from the heat in Florida for a few weeks. Getting on the ship was easy and since we are Elite members of the Captain's Club, so was getting off the ship. I have no idea how it was for everyone else.
The ports were interesting, particularly P.E.I. and Bar Harbor. Went to Peggy's Cove in Halifax and it was just lovely.
The food has certainly gone downhill on Celebrity. We ate in the MDR at night about half the time and went to the buffet in the evening the rest of the time. The evening buffet was not great. Selection was poor and we had to compare it to Princess which has most of the selections for the MDR on the buffet in the evening. The food was just ok in the MDR but the descriptions on the menu were better than the actual food! But the service was outstanding everywhere and the ports were great so we has a terrific time.
