For the Carnival Spirit to be 11 years old she is holding up well, everything was clean well taken care of. We had a inside and it fit 3 people just fine! Stu was he Cruise Director and was as funny as the last time we saw him, Love Stu! Food was the same as any cruise with some of it very good, most fair and a little of it not so great. Embarkation- We got to the port at 10:30 and were on the ship by 11:15, Debark- went just as fast. Shows the same as usual, but to be honest didn't have time for the commedy shows- heard from many they were great! Onto excursions- Juneau ( really over booked ourselves) Mt Roberts tram $27.00 each - not really worth the money. Next the Mendenhall glacier Express Bus think it is called MGT- don't use them, driver started agruement with several passanger's that caused us to have to make a stop at the police station. We finally got back to the port and took a tour with M & M tours driver was really nice and the excursion was good, but really there is not much to see in Juneau. Next day Skagway- Did tour with Becky from Beyond Skayway, the tour was excellent, really the best of all three ports. We went to Carcross, Emerald Lake, and had lunch in a Mongolian Yurt. The price was higher then sme but well worth the money. Next came Glacier Bay, what a view pictures don't do it justice! Lastly Ketchikan we did a tour with Dave from Ketchikan Taxi tours he was nice but to tell you the truth Ketchikan has very little to see. The main attraction is the Totem Pole Park which was nice but not worth the tour cost. If I ever went there again I would just walk aroundthe port or spend the day on the ship. Well that's it in a nutshell, would I do Alaska again, yes in a heartbeat! julie G.
