Hi...My introduction says everything: Many experienced single cruisers have the highest expectations for what NCL EPIC would be. Nice decoration inside Studios, really silent halls, milk and cereal available almost 24 hrs a day.
But as a reviewer mentioned, dinning options were not always available, specially if you wanted to have a "formal" dinner a few minutes prior to 10:00 pm. I used to go to the gym from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm and my option during three nights was to have anything else than the healthy food and good service I really expected after my daily workout.
Small spaces all around the ship, the Cirque shows, can only be seen if you have paid USD30.00, otherwise you'll just be available to see to roof above your table. The oriental restaurant, with small tables and capacity (thank God the sushi expert cheff is the best!)
The gym was an average one. But the Blue Man Group is out of words, the best in class, so original!!!
First impression says everything, and when you get to the ship, you can see pieces of luggage all around the reception area, there is just two or three NCL employees providing some partial guidance on how to get to your room or where to leave your luggage before your cabin is ready. My first minute experience getting in to the EPIC was like getting in a New York metro station full of people walking all around...hectic!! Experience on Cunard, and of course RCCL is totally, the opposite. Good experience but wouldn't recommend to try EPIC more than once.
