Now for the cabin. It was a nice room, clean, and ready for our occupancy but poorly laid out. The bathroom sink is located IN the living/bedroom area of the cabin. If one of us got out of bed earlier than the other and wanted to brush our teeth we woke the other person up. There was no way to block the sink from the bed. The shower/water closet could be separated by a curtain, but that didn't mask the noise. In our opinion this was a poorly designed cabin for people on vacation. Our cabin steward was very attentive and made sure our needs were met. We did notice the towels given to us for the shower and for the pool were sometimes very frayed. We felt these towels should have been used for something else besides the guest rooms. For the price paid for a cruise it seems the towels presented for use could be better quality.
The casino staff was wonderful. It was a fun place to be and they were very friendly to us. We enjoyed our time there.
Overall we had a nice time, but it was not our favorite ship. Would we sail on it again? I would say that would depend on the price. The quality of things just wasn't quite as good as Holland America, which we have sailed on before. The little attentions to detail didn't seem to be on this ship as we've seen on others. It's not that I would tell you not to try this ship, but just know that it wasn't perfect, but then again, I guess nothing really is!
