We have just returned for a 7 night cruise on the med sept 25/11
First the GOOD very friendly staff, ship is clean even though she is old it is not showing too much,
the food in the wind jammer was varied and a pretty good choice
the ports of call are good
second the BAD the great gatsby menu is bland ie 3 soups on one night as starters, long waits between coarses,cold food, expensive wine list.
and finally the UGLY how RCI advertise a beer package without also telling us that both passengers in the cabin must purchase the same package
my wife does not drink but i would have to buy her a package so that i can buy one,
also you have to photocopy your passport and show the copy when you visit the bar,. cost of the 2 packages would have been $566 and at approx $6.40 per beer well you do the maths we went with another couple and his wife likes a beer but only one so we asked could we have 1 beer and 1 soda package per room NO CHANCE
it beats me that RCI come a cross as the world of why not,!!! well why not alter this stubborn attitude that everyone is trying to pull a fast one and come up with a system that allows the sea pass card to be swiped through the till so that it registers your photo, and i agree that you can only buy 1 beer at a time, but anything is better than this present system
and while i am on about it the gratuity thing is driven down your throats its on tv its on every news letter,is the 15% increase not enough?? its about time they cut us some slack and maybe more people will try the world of why not
