Overall this was a great vacation at a base price that is pretty impossible to beat. We paid $603.78 total per person for an oceanview cabin and this included all port charges and taxes. When you're paying less than $100 per day for a cruise of this magnitude it's tough to criticize!
The ship is the oldest in the NCL fleet. It is well maintained, very clean, but shows obvious signs of wear and tear, but this in no way affected the vacation itself. The ship is probably considered small by todays modern mega ships, but it is cozier and manageable, and its easy to explore the entire ship.
The service staff was excellent, mostly from India and Phillipines. The staff in white (managers, officers) were not so naturally friendly, most of them did not even acknowledge guests while they were walking about, whereas all of the service staff always acknowledged guests, quite often by name if they had the opportunity to know you. (huge tip: from day one, introduce yourself to cabin stewards, waiters, waitresses, treat them with respect and you will get the most amazing service from these folks!) We were ALWAYS greeted with hellos from our stewards and our self claimed waitress and bar staff on deck.
Overall a 3 out of 5. Furnishings were obviously worn, bathroom setup extremely poor...commode section is especially small for normal sized persons, could be extremely uncomfortable for larger persons. Beware of the support pole in the middle of the cabin. Great service from cabin stewards
