I have cruised on large ships to the Carribean, and Bahamas. From 3 to 7 days. I liked them all and loved most. I felt obligated to write about the Celibration because of a recent negative review I read. First of all I noticed that the negative review started by saying "THIS WAS MY FIRST CRUISE" fact is most cruise ships have automatic tips, most try to sell additional excursions and services. And all are optional. Now that I got that off my mind. MY REVIEW:

This ship was an old ferry converted to cruise ship. It was refurbished within a couple of years, and may I say they did a great job with a fairley small vessle. Boarding process was fair, not as modernised as some of the larger cruise lines, but not horrible. My cabin was on the 3d deck (this is the deck that you board and disembark) the cabin was ready when I got on which was a nice surprise, on some other cruises I have had to wait over an hour to get into my cabin.

When I tell you this cruise ship was clean, I mean super clean. The refurbish was impressive. The buffet is marginal, but the other restaurants are very good. The enterntainment was very good, although not too many choices, it was only a 2 day cruise, so it was fine. The pool deck is a nice place to hang out but the pools are just to get wet, your not gonna do laps. Ample sitting and lounging area and some privacy if you want too. The DJ is purched above the pool deck and did a great job, playing a great variety of carib, dance, and fun songs. The bartenders kept my cup full of my desired intoxicating delishisness. Drink prices were the same as every cruise ive been on. The Veiw is the showroom turned dance club, and I say was spectacular, I was surprised at how they fit a multilevel club into such a modest size ship, but the did and did it well. Ill end by saying their are variety of hidden fun areas that surprised me every turn I made. They took what would be a usless corner and turned it into an area that would make you feel like you were in london putting down a pint with the fellows. This is probably more of a party cruiser more than a family get away, but does have ammenities for all. I would highly recommend it for a quick, easy and reletivly inexpensive get away. I live only minutes away, so ill be going every time I have and a couple of free days and a little spare change. (already booked for first week in October.
