The Silhouette is simply a wonderful ship. The food was excellent, the staff was terrific. We enjoyed the veranda cabin immensely. The difference it made to be able to open it up to outdoors was huge. My wife spend hours reading and snoozing outside. Osy (pronounced like Ozzie), our cabin steward was incredibly thoughtful and helpful without being even a little intrusive. When we asked for ice the first day we got it and had ice for the rest of the cruise. We brought some wine for our room and he made sure we had wine glasses from then on without being asked. The experience was so consistently good the only weakness in the trip was Nick the cruise director who was insufferable. He seemed to think that Las Vegas is the cultural capital of the world. He demanded loud applause over and over. The opening number of the first show was one that was about "having another drink" again and again. We didn't go to the last couple of evening shows because we were tired of him. The entertainers on the other hand were excellent doing a broad range of music and dancing, even Irish folk style (a la Riverdance). I'd recommend the ship to anyone.
Roomy, well-designed bathroom and shower, wonderful balcony.
