Wow! What a great cruise we had on the Sapphire to Alaska. This was our 12th cruise, on various lines, and we found the Sapphire to be in great shape.

Pre-Cruise: We had two nights pre-cruise in Seattle and stayed at the Holiday Inn on Dexter. It was a nice hotel, convenient to the places we wished to visit, such as the Space Needle and Ride the Ducks. We did walk along the Harbor to Pike Place Market, but it is a long walk. But the Market is very worth seeing. TIP: Purchase flowers inexpensively and take onboard.

Embarkation: We checked out on Sunday and while we did not have advance reservations were able to purchase two tickets on a shuttle waiting outside hotel to the Pier easily. We had to ask for the preferred line as most of the cruisers were first timers. We were onboard within 30 minutes.
