We were welcomed on board by a very happy crew with a lovely refreshing drink after a long journey to get to Southampton,
On every port we visited on arrival back to ship we were welcomed back on board with ice flannel and a cold refreshing drink, how thoughtful!!
Cabin as you are advised, not ready until 1pm. cases arrived a bit later in time to refresh for diner,
we moved table to balcony to accommodate mobility scooter as you are not to leave scooter in corridor.wedge can be provided to keep door open as you go out.
Cases under bed good idea, take a 3 pin long adapter to charge batteries for scooter battery, also camera battery, don't forget a 2pin round plug that adapt to 3 pin what they use on board.
Ship spotlessly clean noticed a lot of cleaning to hand rails everywhere, lifts,
toilets even a tissue to cover toilet seat, toilet assistant always with a smile.what more can you have for a 5 + liner,
First day at sea which was a nice relaxing day listening to string quartet, who could have been in the theatre show which they deserve with other musicians that we had pleasure in listening to in the foyer to replace that humiliating hypnotist, we attended most shows which were ok
theatre shows could be better.
Dinning experience, we had early dining better if you are early riser, and to go to theme nights on pool deck, great for watching a show in the moonlight how romantic can that be,
we shared a table with 6 other guest lovely friends interesting conversation, albeit i have dietary problems that caused a few problems which was very courteously dealt with by our lovely waiting staff on table 144 well done to all many thanks to chef for his help in preparing my meals.excellent food choice,
food can be repeating if you have dietary needs.this is where Ocean view cafe came in handy.
We had a lovely brunch lunch where chef made beautiful ice sculptures and that scrumptious chocolate fountain where you put pieces of fruit under,
mouth is watering just thinking about it
Ocean view cafe a lovely choice where you are able to choose quantity for your needs without waste, help is there for disable people travelling on own just ask
Excursions we did this on our own by taxi, ask for a price first, especially if there is a place you would like to visit, like we did in Seville, we found taxi easily at all ports,
Mobility scooter i use is a shop mobility small enough to go into a boot of car, this we found more convenient as i am unable to negotiate steps of coaches.
All ports where we docked are wheel chair friendly, even tender at split with a chair lift and help with staff to board tender was no problem,
Cartagena (Spain) Beautiful port clean very friendly taxi near to port gate, Lovely for wheel chair , mobility scooter, disability, walking, shopping superb shops, handbags shoes a must.
Venice was a problem we tried a ship excursion to Murano Burano island
NOT A VERY GOOD IDEA if you have any kind of mobility problem,I tried not using scooter, for boarding excursion boat a big mistake, as there is a lot of walking i couldn't keep up with guide better going on own on a water taxi,
where you visit islands at leisure,
OH you can also borrow a wheel chair from ship.
On this lovely liner Eclipse you are well looked after by all,
There is no problem i can find for a traveler on your own.
Handsome Captain to all his happy staff which makes a cruise a memorable one
Many thanks to all of you.
