April 16th,2011 was the start of my being Astonished...our cruise on the Epic was the creme DE la creme of cruising! It isn't necessary to go on excursion to the various ports because the Epic is the excursion. It was my daughters first cruise and WOW how she was impressed..spoiled might be the word. The ship was so AWESOME in every aspect from decor to service it would compare to any five star hotel in any city. There was something for everyone from funky kool stuff for the younger crowd to luxury for adults. The entertainment was first class from Blue Man Group and Legends in Concert to only name a few.
NCL has me sold out with their "Freestyle" dining, whether eating at the Garden Cafe by the pool or dressing up for and evening meal at the French restaurant Le Bistro the food was exceptionally prepared. The Mandara Spa was fantastic..pure bliss....the Ice Bar freezing fun..the games, dancing, bowling, and all the fun and contests at the Aqua Park pool complex with the twisting water flumes was an extravaganza of fun and pleasure.
I almost forgot to mention our deluxe balcony "Wave" room..ooh la la ,very upscale design, comfortable and relaxing...the balcony was so peaceful after a full days activities. Most important of all was the accessibility of Captain Frank and his staff Denis Prguda, and Mirsad Bucuk who made sure our cruise with NCL would be a FABULOUS memory of a lifetime. Thanks to all on the Epic...we look forward to the transcontinental cruise next April!
