Ship Facts: Review (by Cruise Critic!)
Shambles from the start
Understandably cruise itinery is dictated by the weather but sailing almost 36 hours late having been stuck on board in Liverpool, an excursion to visit Liverpool was organised but was ad hoc, disorganised and set the tone for the trip. Many people left the boat at this point and many more had they known would have joined them (others left at the first port of call-Dublin) . Eventually all Scotland destinations were cancelled as were Channel Islands and Scilly Isles due to tendering issues and weather. We became itinerent travellers shipped to wherever would take us, literally any port in a storm -Dublin, Fowey, Falmouth and Rouen. The only planned visits left were Honfleur and Cork.

Serious Health and Safety issues need raising -

1, As we arrived late at Falmouth and were unable to enter the harbour we had to be tendered in using the ships lifeboats/tenders- 2 boats were unable to be lowered and the staff showed little understanding of the process!!! Frightening considering the conditions we were in. The conditions were also questionable on safety grounds as to whether tendering should have taken place at all - 4 crew members grabbing you to drag you back on board.

2. Heating turned off and only cold air blowing both in cabins and corridors

3.Lifts not working

The boat had time keeping issues and often passengers were hanging around waiting hours for instruction and to reinforce this we arrived back in Liverpool at low tide and were unable to dock !!! Disembarkation took hours and completed what had been a shambles from start to finsh it was as if they did nt care as they knew there would be complaints and claims against them.

As previously reviewed the food and entertainment were below par - breakfast was the best meal and the entertainment was 45mins to an hour from the staff followed by the guests providing the rest in game shows or quizs.

This is without doubt my worst cruise experience and was capped off by being asked to leave your cabin by 7.30am and wait in a lounge till you could leave - in my case 6 hours later.

One positive the cabins and public areas were very clean

Ps Where was the Captain - one appearance all week
