This was our 6th Carnival cruise and our 3rd on the Fantasy. We cruised from Port Canaveral in 2006, New Orleans in 2007 and now Charleston in 2011. The ship has been totally refurbished and was very clean, modern and much improved since 2007. The waterworks was fun and the adult only Serenity Retreat was so relaxing.

Charleston was the easiest and most efficient port we had sailed from. The process from the gates opening at 11:20 to shuttling from the parking warehouse to the terminal to embarking on the ship took approx. one hour. They used a silent debarkation that began at 6:40 am..we carried our luggage off and were back in our car at 7:10 am.

My wife and I were in much need of rest and relaxation and got much of both. We had an interior room and with a towel at the bottom of the door and lights out in the cabin ...it was pitch dark at anytime of the day!!! Our room steward was very nice and efficient as always on Carnival.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin 4E

we had a handicap room and enjoyed the larger bathroom and shower...only negative about the cabins are the terrible choices of tv stations the cruise line uses...not that we watched much at all but would have enjoyed ESPN...lol
