We've done six cruises to six different locations with six different cruise lines and this was the best so far!
Clean moderately sized ship with numerous hand gel dispensers and even staff members dispensing them - germs don't get a look in here. Food excellent, perhaps more fresh veg in main restaurant? Staff and management courteous and friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
Music and entertainment absolutely outstanding. High class shows performed by talented, professional singers and dancers. A wide variety of music was available every evening no matter what your tastes, being performed by real musicians. We also really enjoyed the themed dance nights - especially the 60's when everyone really had fun.
Plenty of enrichment activities taking place all day. We tried dance lessons, photography, painting, scrap booking, wildlife/regional talks, quizzes and many more (all free). There were some paid one too but we didn't feel the need to try them.
All this and stunning, breathtaking scenery outside!
Plenty of shore trips to choose from, a bit pricey but there are lots of booths at the end of the pier where you can pick your own trip at much lower prices. We particularly enjoyed panning for gold in the creek with a real humorous prospector and the lumberjack show - a lot of fun.
Probably the main reason for the wonderful atmosphere on board was due to the Cruise Director John Grantham. He was absolutely fabulous - friendly, courteous, witty, always around and always ready to stop and sit down with people for a chat.He always seemed to have time for people and you felt confident that if you did have a problem he would certainly and deal with it personally. He also joined in with musicians in the Crystal lounge with some great singing and guitar playing. He was without doubt the best CD we have met yet on all the different ships and lines we have used. The atmosphere aboard is obviously created from the top down which was so clearly demonstrated on this cruise.
