This is certainly not our first cruise and wont be our last. Just the second with Celebrity. The ship was everything we expected plus more and one of the cleanest we've been on - not so for our cabin but I'll get to that later.
There was enough to do during the day to keep most people entertained and the variety wasn't bad. Food was probably the best we've had in the casual dining -Oceanview L14 but slightly disappointed in some of the dining room meals. I found that a couple of the meat meals took a bit of chewing but overall pretty good. Our table was fantastic and we all got on really well thanks to 'The Browns and Vinney and Peggy'!
Cabin: On arrival I don't think our cabin had been vacuumed as there was quite a bit of 'stuff' on the floor - beads from a broken necklass, hairpins and carpet felt gritty. We had to ask for towels twice, ice and I don't think it should take housecleaning 3 goes each day to do our room. We questioned our cabin attendant but he just said they'd not finished each time we asked. Our bottom sheet was ripped until 2 days before we left - obviously not changed and black marks in bathroom - maybe makeup never removed and probably still there.
The Photo Gallery would not put our photos onto a disk on a formal night when approached saying it was Formal night and couldn't be done even though they were there standing there at the time - and not busy. We had a trip to Sweden the next day which meant we were unable to take photos as our camera was full. This would have taken 5mins max to do for us.
The price of $15 for a shuttle into town knowing that was the only way we could get there was little more than a rip off and very disappointing. On previous cruises these have been free including free tenders.
Maybe this is a sign of the times 'user pays everything', reflected in the climbing number of speciality restaurants onboard.
But overall we had a fantastic time. Bar staff were attentive without being overbearing. Dining staff some of the nicest we've had and I'd use Eclipse again but maybe go up a deck or two.
On our previous cruises we've been higher up and wonder if the lower decks reflect the lower standard of cabin service we received.
