Arrived at Seward for "priority " boarding ,travelled 16 hours: After 20 minutes were told room had been given to someone else:
Eventually we were whisked on board after an hour and told to go to front office; Without telling us, our onboard cards were switched from designated dining room seating to scramble for all.
i asked 3 timess to speak to a manager, no one came to discuss with us.
3 days later we had opportunity to be greeted by the captain who shrugged us off in his broken English, but someone was dispatched to see us several hours later.
Our dining experiences as a whole were poor, food re heated, cold meals, wrong meals, dirty table cloths, food encrusted dirty fork at the italian restaurant.
we were not the only ones who experienced the bad food service, one lunch time the entire table returned there meal, which was burgers served as hard as hockey pucks
The Captain was rude and uncaring to not only ourselves, but others who were not travelling with us.
Obviously there is a common denominator: Zaandam and Holland America
My advise is give another cruise line your money
