This was our first cruise so we didn't know what to expect. We were told to check-in after 2pm and arrived around that time and found the process to be organized chaos. We got checked in quickly, boarded and found our room with no problem. Once we got onboard we realized that 75% of the passengers had already checked in earlier in the afternoon and had enjoyed the pool and buffet well before 2:00.

The room: we were in a "hump" balcony room on the 8th deck near the library. I was hesitant because we would be near the stairs and I thought it would be noisy, but it turned out that it was great to be near the stairs and the library (easy access to all decks via the stairs and internet in the library). No noise problems AT ALL.

The bathroom was small but large enough. Good water pressure. Balcony was fine but I wish the chair backs were adjustable to recline. The bed was comfy and seemed larger than a queen-size. Overall good but the TV and sofa could be updated.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

I was in a D2 balcony room on the 8th floor. One of the "hump" rooms. The room was near the stairway but the only time we heard noise was people going to/from the stairs. It didn't bother us one bit because people didn't generally stand in the hall socializing. We were also near the library so it was quiet and convenient when we needed to use the internet. The bathroom was small but not as small as I was expecting and the water pressure in the shower was strong. The bed was comfortable and seemed larger than a queen-size. There was ample storage in the room/vanity area for clothes and personal items. The room could use some updates but it was fine overall.
