Our Thomson Spirit Cruise: Thomson Spirit Cruise Review by parthia

Our Thomson Spirit Cruise
Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean
We were disappointed with the Captain's cocktail night on the first week as we had to be herded into the Raffle's Bar area and subjected to not one but seasons of photo-shoots before going into the Broadway theatre for cocktails. The Captain's introductions to his senior staff was rather low level as compared to the I.E. and MSC More Lirica(Still he got into my good books later one when as we could not tender at Mykonos on the second week because of windy weather, and announced that we would proceed to PATMOS for a more secluded landing-which it was-really nice and was a compensation well thought out!)
In all the quality of the food was much better than the previous cruises we did.The lower end of the staff were brilliant and very helpful and was very happy to meet your needs together with the brilliant Spirit dancers and singers with their change of programmes every night and such professionalism they gave
Our main grouch was the positioning of electrical sockets in the cabin which were fixed behind two well fixed lights which faced the cabin mirror, and much too close to the deck top to fit one's plugs in one's adaptors to charge one's camera batteries.Although the reception deck kindly and willingly charged my main camera battery every other night-after constant use.All in all we were very happy and content and will sail with Thomsons again-Also we found the tannoy system near our cabin was limited to only the alley way and hard to hear with the cabin door close-it only came in the cabin when the Captain spoke
p.s. I do wish they would do some meaty soups instead of the veggy one's we had for 2 weeks!!!! Less

we found the size surprisingly larger than what we were led to believe;Hardly any engine noise or vibration.and always kept clean and tidy by the stewards
A Majestic Princess indeed!
