We travelled on the Dream last year in June, it was unfortunately for us two nightmare weeks and a total disaster. We did look at the reviews over the months ahead and saw they were improving so when a family member asked our opinion of the ship we thought it was worth them taking a chance and cruising on it. We did not know at that time, as a surprise, they had also booked for us to go.

For us, well what an unbelievable difference a year has made, so much more organised in all areas including embarkation and disembarkation (which were both quick and painless), no smells or leaks, we saw no irate cruisers queuing at the reception. There were cleaners everywhere and a completely different atmosphere.

We did the Mediterranean Medley option and each port (Rapallo was substituted for Genoa), if you did not want to do an organised trip, was easy to do your own thing in. We had been to some of them before but found that in all of them, even the ports we had not visited, if you did not want to go further afield there were things to see and do in the ports themselves. Livorno has plenty of shops and Calvi is a very pretty port. We docked only minutes away from Las Rambles in Barcelona and this time visited the Fairy Cafe by the Wax Museum, it was so peaceful.
