Carnival Imagination Review

Wasn't what was in my Imagination cruise

Review for the Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Imagination

I went along with my girlfriend on a three night cruise to Nassau aboard the Carnival Imagination. This was her second cruise and my sixth. I cruised Carnival about 10 years ago and as I recall had a great time.

This time however was very different. Seems the port of Miami is the worst place to board a ship. We arrived around 11:30 and were able to get on board at 1:30. No reason was given for the delay but the waiting area was full of people and not enough seats. Once it was time to board we cleared one check point with ID and boarding pass only to be met at the gangway by another person checking the exact same credentials. This held up the lines from both sides of the waiting area.

Once on board we went to grab a bite at the Horizon Grill buffet. This was our first experience with the awful food that we would encounter the entire cruise. First of all let me say that I am not a picky eater at all. The choices were minimal and the quality was very poor. As I looked around I could see plates of food that were not empty as people were not eating all of their food. After our visit to the Horizon Bar and Grill we went down to check on our cabin and found it ready.

Cabin Review

R189 - very nice cabin. It had plenty of room for two people. It had a pull down for a third person but with three adults it would have been tight.

The bathroom was very large with plenty of room. The shower was large enough to shower with comfort.
