We sailed on the Serenade in January 2005. Embarkation was very easy and well organized. We got to the pier around 2 p.m. and there wasn't anybody on line. We were in our rooms 15 minutes later and our bags arrived before 2:30 p.m. Our room, a family oceanview stateroom, was very large. The bathroom was small, but the rest of the room was quite large. We had a separate area with bunk beds, a dresser and a closet. There was also a separate area for our king sized bed, a desk and a closet. In the main cabin area, we had two desks and a couch that pulled out. The decor was very nice as well. We had two adults and 3 children in the room and we were not crowded at all.
The ship itself was beautiful. The artwork was impressive and the public areas were very nice. There were also plenty of fun things on board to keep everyone busy. In addition to the pools and water slide, there was the rock wall, mini golf, jogging track, fitness center, spa, casino, self-levelling pool tables and so much more.
Adventure Ocean for the kids was great. Our kids always wanted to go there. The staff was wonderful. They did a lot of great things. Our kids especially loved the pirate night and going to dinner at the Seaview Cafe with the staff.
