Sailed from Barcelona on a 7 night voyage round the Med. Boarding was easy and hassle-free. Ship is very elegant with many nice works of art. Ship was also spotlessly clean with staff constantly cleaning and polishing.
There were 2 formal evenings and I only wish more passengers had been as elegant as the ship. The minority were in evening wear and some even wore shorts/t-shirts. A real shame, as it does spoil the ambiance for those that have made the effort.
We could only get open seating at dinner and it was very hit and miss whether you were seated right away. We therefore opted to eat in the Pinnacle Grill on both formal nights to be sure of a table. The food and service here were of a high quality, and more people made an effort to dress up here.
There was a good choice of bars to sit in and none seemed to get too busy. The exeption being the Piano Bar which was packed each evening and had a very lively atmosphere.
Although the ship was full More
it never seemed crowded and there was always space to be had on deck.
The waiting and bar staff were charming and nothing was too much trouble, always smiling. The Dutch officers were invisible throughout the voyage.
I would travel on this ship again but I would have to have fixed times and seating for dinner, a different itinerary and probaly starting from a Northern European port where there might be more formality amongst the passengers.
I will not review the ports as everyones experiences and expectations are different. Less
