Ship Facts: Grand Princess Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Grand Princess Deck Plans
First time princess!! Felt like queen
although not first time cruise it was first time with princess, and we were not dissappointed.

embarkation quick and efficient, which was great, travelled with eavesway again first time, we had to wait at our pick up point as coach was late, it was not eavesway coach but another company, this was a dissappointment, coach ok but thats all, driver grumpy. return journey different, coach much more comfortable and driver pleasant.

cabin was great, spacious and clean, although at first shocked at lack of storage space we managed very well.

room attendant lovely, thank you Julia! we were on anytime dining and found it fantastic, never waited for table and always got our table for 2. food was superb, most waiters very efficient and service excellent, only twice did we get wait service that we felt could have been better.

ship was very clean, and we found it had lots of facilites, only dissappointment was no hosted ballroom dancing.

we had two gripes, one was fellow passengers who hogged the sunbeds by placing items on beds and then left them empty for hours, one day I did complain to an officer as several people were looking for beds, yet only feet from where he stood the beds occupied only by towels and a hat had been empty for over 2 hours, the monitoring of removing items by deck attendants need to be policed better. nothing was done when i complained. other than he asked me to repeat what i said to a deck attendant.

my other gripe was bar service. we had purchased a soda sticker and the bar waiters were not happy to serve me. this was especially the case in the princess theatre. we started to go to the bar ourselves rather than wait for drinks that never appeared after our order placed.

but the good stuff.......food excellent, entertainment good, disembarkation good, most staff fantastic and efficient. little things like ice face clothes and iced water on return from port trips awaiting on quayside,

we have cruised before, i hope to use princess again, but hope the niddles are heard and monitored and change happens, my gripes are not alone, i have read them in other reviews.
