Disney did a superb job from start to finish, including a last minute change of port due to a local strike. Everyone, and I mean everyone, in the crew was helpful, welcoming and incredibly friendly.

The kids loved the Disney characters and the unlimited ice cream! The Ports of Call were beautiful, especially Naples and Villefranche.

The ship was elegant and clean. The motif was classical, reminiscent of the 20's but with all the modern conveniences. The dining rooms were each unique, with the Animator's Palate a real treat. We left the ship sad and wanting more!

Cabin review:

Great Balcony with fantastic views in port and surroundings. Minimal hall noise but could easily hear crying kids next door (who most stopped after we spoke with the parents). Good amount of storage space given room size. Poor TV reception overall.

Port and Shore Excursions

Very easy to walk to some fantastic shopping areas from the shuttle drop off point. Barcelona is a beautiful, clean, energetic, unique and vibrant city. I definitely want to go back for an extended visit. I would strongly recommend coming in a few days early or stay a few days extra if this is your port of embarkation.

Our port of call was La Spezia, Italy. Most of our fellow passengers went to Pisa or Florence from here. We chose instead to take a 20 minute local train to a beautiful coastal area called Cinque Terre. This is an Italian National Park featuring five small coastal fishing villages which are all postcard charming! We had a great day and enjoyed some fantastic local food.

The most beautiful port of call with Mt Vesuvius as a backdrop. Our trip to the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii were the highlight of our cruise. And we thought Rome would be hard to beat! We got a driver and guides to take us to all these sight--it was well worth the money.

Port of Civitavecchia--of course, you must go to Rome from here! We paid for a driver and guided tour of this world-class and historic city. The food was amazing and the views of the city memorable. I would recommend against going on your own by train due to heavy cruise traffic at this port.

Cute port city--we chose to stay in town and explore the village and waterfront but others on the cruise had a great time on excursions the relatively close Monaco. This is a very typical small historic European town is a gorgeous Mediterranean setting!
