We travelled August 12 to Alaska on the Infinity. My mom and pre-teen son were in one cabin and my husband and I were in the other. We were on the 2nd deck with a nice big ocean view window. This was my third cruise and my second to Alaska and was by far my favorite ship. I loved everything about this ship. The crew and staff were amazing, the layout of the ship was convenient and comfortable. I loved the indoor heated pool! Food was amazing. My Mom is an experienced cruiser and she took this same ship through the Panama Canal the previous September. She was delighted to be on the same ship, which should also speak volumes since that cruise was about 16 days.
As far as Alaska goes, words and pictures just don't do it justice. I have been fortunate to go to Ketchikan several times with work, but I love it every time. I thought the itinerary left too little time in some ports, but it actually turned out just fine. I was able to do everything I wanted to. The captain brought us closer than ever to the South Sawyer glacier and it was amazing. My son and husband were so taken with the cruise and Alaska that 2 days after getting home they are cruising the Internet looking at more Alaska cruises! HIGHLY recommend this ship and cruise.
Our cabin was fine, plenty of space, with a great window view. The window was large and we were able to see great views. Also, being on deck 2, it did not feel as though it rocked as much as the higher decks.
