We asked for the traditional dining and got a table for 2 at the 8:00 pm seating. We ate there for a few nights and then chose to find an alternative dining room in which to eat. The service was so slow that we sat down at 8 pm and were not served our main course some nights until 9:15 pm. I bought the beverage package and asked for a Club Soda and my wife asked for an Iced Tea. We had to ask a number of times before we got our drinks and then sometimes it took as much as 15 minutes. When our food came out, 9 times out of ten it was cold and should have been sent back, but we were afraid that the wait would even longer. Consequently, we ate our lukewarm meals that some nights had very little taste. I complained to our head waiter and nothing changed, so we changed eating venues and that was better, but not by much.
Princess Cruise line allows smoking in some bars and in the Casino. Being an ex-smoker who went through quintuple by-pass surgery, I did not need to smell the smoke as we walked around the ship. We would have spent a lot more time in the Casino if it didn't stink from cigarette smoke. Walking to the theater, one had to pass the Cigar Lounge. There, they kept the doors open and the odor permeated through that area of the ship, making that theater entrance unpleasant.
It seemed that on the Caribbean Princess, there were not sufficient public restrooms. In addition, too often, urinals and toilets were out of service (both men and women's).
THIS OBSTRUCTED VIEW CABIN WAS FINE. THE ONLY OBSTUCTIONS WE HAD WERE SOME POLE THAT WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THE LIFEBOAT SYSTEMS. i FELT THIS PARTICULAR ROOM WAS WELL WORTH THE VALUE
