This was a family vacation. My husband and I are in our late 50s. Children are 23, 29, and 26. I cannot say enough about how great this cruise was. The ship was magnificent. This was only my second cruise. The other was an Eastern Caribbean on NCL.

Embarkation was very fast (we had previously filled out the papers online). Absolutely no problems. We arrived on the ship around 1:30 p.m. and ate in the Windjammer for lunch and dinner in the Dining Room. Our waiter and assistant waiter were excellent. Regarding the quality of food, I will agree with most people that was not 5 star; however, I did feel the food was better in the Dining Room than the Windjammer. We had several excellent meals in the dining room and the desserts were to die for. We made the mistake of eating breakfast and lunch frequently in the Windjammer. Next time (and there will be a next time), I will eat more meals in the Dining Room. The food could have been hotter in the Windjammer. The scrambled eggs were not up to par; however, you could go to the "Egg Bar" and request eggs done to your liking and those were prepared in front of you and served hot. We also had two excellent midnight buffets on the ship.

Entertainment on ship -- We saw two good comedians. The Ice Show was very good (we did not wait in line long for our tickets. Even though the line was very long, it moved extremely quickly). We watched Matt Yee (Adult Sing-a-Long) two nights because he was so good! We did play Bingo but I would advise against it because it is way too expensive ($35 person). Of course, Quest was great. I had no complaints regarding the entertainment. I have paid $125 per person for entertainment in Chicago and have been disappointed. I don't think we should expect top-notch entertainment on the ships. We must consider it is free and part of the package. Considering that, I felt the entertainment was good.
