We sailed out on the August 6-13th cruise on the Jewel. We arrived at the port about 10:30am. We parked the car and processed to the elevator and went right down stairs to the check in line. The lines moved very fast. We then we given a number for when we can board the ship. Our number was 6. Not bad. We waited about 30 minutes and they started to call the numbers. When we first got on the ship, we went to Tsars restaurant and waited a few minutes till they opened. We sat down for our firt lunch in the restaurant and it was very good.

Once we finished we then walked around the ship to get my husband more familar with the ship. Me and my daughter last year went on this ship, so we already knew were everything was. At around 2:00 our rooms were ready, so off we went to them! When we got there our room attendants were there to welcome us and at that moment on they always welcomed us by our names. They were fantastic. There names were Diego and Paul. They worked so well together. Our room was always cleaned and well stocked with towels.

Day 1 at sea.......The weather was very good. Hot and sunny. Me and my daughter were out by the pool. Very hard to get chairs. But we managed. We were on the very top deck. Very windy and sunny!
