I am comparing writing this review comparing the Carnival Dream to the Norwegian Epic (a cruise we took a year prior)
Carnival Dream:
Cabin (1 Star). The walls are paper thin. Our room was next to college kids who partied late at night. I could hear their conversations completely. Had to call security to shut them up numerous times.
Food (Main Dining Room) (2 Stars). Food was o.k. not the best.
Steak House (5 Stars) - Well worth the $30 per person.
Coffee Bar (4 Stars) - Good Desserts and Coffee was good.
Breakfast Buffet (1 star) - Same stuff every day. Lines were 20+ people deep - always.
Gym (1 Star). Too small. I work out everyday. I had to go outside and work out because the weight room was too crowded.
Water Park (3 Stars). Pools were packed. Water slides (lines were long). They were fun, but hurt a little (the seams had high points that scratched your back. Also, stairs had metal on edges that burned your feet.
Entertainment (4 Stars)
Comedy Shows (5 Stars) Hysterical
Fun Force Hip Hop (5 Stars) Very funny. Go to shows and classes given by them
Love Game (5 Stars) Hysterical
Bingo (2 Stars) Only $100 pots when selling $500 worth of cards
Main Show Room (1 Star) Kinda Boring
Excursions (4 Stars)
Cozumel - Passion Island Twister. Boat does 360 degree turns. The beach was good. Good Water toys.
Roatan - Tapayana Beach - 2nd time here. A lot of fun. Recommend the banana boat ride.
Belize - Stayed on ship
Costa Maya - Went to pool at compound pound. It was also where they do the dolphin swim so you can watch that as well.
Embarking (4 Stars) Was Quick
Debarking (2 Stars) Not so quick. Had to wait close to an hour for luggage to come out.
