Thomson Spirit Cruise Review by BRIAN J HEDLEY: Never again!

Thomson Spirit 2

Overall Member Rating

Never again!

Sail Date: July 2011
Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean
Embarkation: Port of Spain (Trinidad)

The good points were the breakfast in the Lido restaurant, although the plates are always cold and the food lukewarm so by the time you get to your table the food is cold. The restaurant food was much better

The evening entertainment was very good apart from the female comedian who has kept her jokes and act the same as it was last year.

the Lido buffet food was poor quality and very little variety

there was little atmosphere on the ship, none of the bars are outside in the sun and you have to wait for a waiter or waitress to pass by, most of them were miserable with no conversation nor did they look like they were enjoying their jobs

my cabin was on deck 2 at the rear of the ship above the propellers and I could not sleep for the noise and vibration of the motors Less

Cabin review:

my single outside cabin was at the rear of the ship and I could not sleep for the engine noise and vibrations

Port and Shore Excursions

take the boat and coach tour off the ship, this is one Thomson tour that is worth the money, most are not

not much to see although the journey through the fiord was beautifull, it has been missed of the cruise for 2012, that should say enough
